1805	The authority record for this Society in the Bibliot. Nat. France cat. gives a founding year of 1805; Crosland (1967), p.182, however, gives a founding year of 1806. According to cataloguing data at the Bibliot. Nat. France cat., the Society kept this name until 1892, December; but already in 1892 (evidently in late December) it became the Société Médico-Chirurgicale de Paris; by 1907, April 27 it, along with the Société de Médecine et Chirurgie Pratiques (founded in 1808 as the Société de Médecine Pratique de Paris) had been absorbed into the Société de Médecine de Paris (founded 1796).
