According to a record in the Cambridge Univ. cat.,
the cover title for vol. 1, 1837/41 was
Select papers read before the Society of Arts for Scotland,
and the cover title for v. 17, April 1906-Dec. 1907 was
Journal of the Royal Scottish Society of Arts.
According to a record in the Cambridge Univ. cat.,
proceedings, lists of members, prizes offered, etc., etc., were included in
appendixes to v. 1-18, and early material was originally published in
Edinburgh New Philosophical Journal. That record also notes that
v. 19 is a combined no., dated 1914/25 (the activities of the Society were
suspended from 1915 to 1920 inclusive).
