A Wikipedia article entitled
Society of Serbian Letters indicates that this society was founded on 1841, November 19 as
Дружтво србске словесности = Družtvo Srbske Slovesnosti.
on 1841, November 19. It also refers to orthographic problems. This is evidenced by the variation in spelling of the name of the society itself. This article indicates that the society was shut down by Prince Michael for liberal tendencies on 27 January 1864 - and then renewed under the name
Српско учено друштво = Srpsko učeno društvo
(Serbian Learned Society).
Note the further orthogrphic change from Cрбске to Српско .
A Wikipedia article entitled
Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts indicates that in 1892 this society merged into the Српска краљевска академија = Srpska kraljevska akademija (Serbian Royal Academy of Sciences).
