This web-based directory of French learned societies includes valuable historical information on each society, including name changes.

This appears to be, to some extent, a database version of the CTHS monograph entitled Liste des sociétés savantes et littéraires (published, for example, in a 1975 edition by impr. Floch in Mayenne as a 114 p. monograph). It is not clear how much of the information in the monograph has been transferred to the database; we have observed some lacunae.
